Planning overview and setup
The Professional Development Planning (PDP) interface is a user-friendly tool designed to help you manage and plan your professional development goals. With intuitive features and a platform integration, the PDP interface empowers you to organise your tasks, track progress, and enhance your career development.
Setup
Navigate to the planning interface by clicking on 'Planning' in the top bar of the application. If it's your first time using the planning interface, you will be guided through the process step by step.
While you can skip parts of this process, we recommend filling in all the fields as thoroughly as you can, as this information will help us understand the best path for your learning.
Goals
The planning interface comes with some pre-determined goals from our system to help you identify and area that you might want to focus on. If the goals in our system do not match your requirement, you can add custom goals by clicking on the + icon next to 'Custom Goals'. Currently, goals are specific to a single year, so add as many as you think are relevant to this years learning.
Skills
As our system grows in intelligence, we will use your skills and your goals to determine and suggest learning pathways for you to follow on your journey. Try to list as many skills here that are relevant to your goals as possible, as this will best help our system.
Type the skill in the box and press enter to lock it in. When you're ready, press confirm to move on.
After confirming your skills, you will be prompted to rate your proficiency and interest in that particular skill, this will provide further help to our system in suggesting relevant pathways.
Preferences
The last setting is the preferences dialogue which will inform our system as to the types of learning that would fit best with your lifestyle.
All of these settings can be updated later from the main planning interface. Click on confirm to start building your plan.
