Sharing courses and templates with clients

Before creating a course, it's important to decide if the course you are creating is for all of your clients, or for a specific client.

A course for a specific client is created while manipulating that clients account directly, where as a course for all clients is created in your personal account, and then distributed to all clients. We will go through both methods below.

Creating a course for a specific client

As mentioned above, to create a course for a specific client you must be accessing that clients account. See information about accessing clients under Managing your clients.

Please note: specific courses cannot be transferred between organisations, so make absolutely sure that you are accessing the correct client before you begin making your course.

Once you are accessing your clients account, navigate to Courses > Create and create the new course in the same manner as you would for your own organisation. Since you are viewing your clients account, it will instead add it to their personal list of courses.

Distributing a single course to all clients

There are two options for sharing courses to your clients.

1. Distribute Course (uneditable)

Occasionally, you may want to distribute a course to all clients and keep the integrity of the material. Using this method, clients will be able to assign this course to teams, but the course content can only be edited and updated by you, the advisor.

2. Distribute Template (editable)

This option allows you to distribute a template of a course, which your clients will be able to access, duplicate, and edit to their liking before assigning it to their teams. Each client will have access to the template, and can mould the template to suit their companies needs.

To enable either of these options, first ensure that you're accessing your own organisation and not viewing one your clients, before navigating to Courses > Manage.

If you have yet to create the course that you wish to distribute, do this now.

Once the course has been created, head to the distribution settings for that course (either by clicking the icons / button in the distribution column or clicking the settings cog and selecting 'distribution) and scroll down to the 'To Clients' section. Provided you are an advisor, you should see both toggles in this section.

As soon as one or both of these sliders are enabled, the course will be accessible to the company under either their Courses > Create screen for editable courses (templates), or under Courses > Manage for uneditable courses (external)
